Jun 3, 2012

Hello my name is kevin i am going in for another round of test this time its a duo 4th generation after 8 weeks exposer im not sure weather or not the antigen will show up but will this test be highly sensitive to my antibodies I had unprotecd oral (3mths past) and protected anal @2 mths) Tested third generation 3 4 5 6 weeks out all neg, let me know what you think about the forth genertaion tests for antibodies thanks

Response from Ms. Southall

Hi Your exposure present a low risk of acquiring HIV. Oral sex carries the lowest risk of HIV transmission and you had protected anal sex. The guidelines for HIV testing are to be initially tested at 3 weeks then again at 3 months, if both of these tests are negative then so are you.

Be well and stay safe, Shannon

Reliability of test
HIV testing at 6 weeks
