What is the best HIV test to carry out?
May 30, 2012
What is the best test or screening for HIV after two months of having unprotected sex with a hiv positive person but has gone for regular HIV test but test negative?
Response from Ms. Southall
HI You can do a variety of different testing there is a new home test kit that you can use, you can go to a local HIV testing site or you can go see your health care provider. Any test that is run are all accurate. The guidelines for HIV testing are to be initially tested at 3 weeks then again at 3 months, if both of these tests are negative then so are you.
Be well and stay safe, Shannon
