what are the chances of a false negative?

May 21, 2012

I had a blood test, and tested back negative. What are the chances of this being wrong? Should I get tested again?

Response from Ms. Southall

Hi The guidelines for testing are to be initially tested 3 weeks after possible exposure then again at 3 months. If both of these test are negative then so are you.

Be well and stay safe, Shannon
