| 80 day negative HIV test Apr 26, 2012 I had a negative 80 day HIV test oraquick blood method. How accurate is this? I had a handjob from a massage parlor. I know I pop a blister on my gentital shaft 10 days prior. Should I be satisfied with my 80 day negative? My doctor said that even with the risk of a blister on m penis and a small cut on her hand I was still not at risk. He said no one has ever been HIV positive from a handjob. |

Response from Ms. Southall
Hi The standards for testing are to be initially tested at 3 weeks and then again at 3 months, where 97% of the population will test negative or positive you can then again be tested at 6 months which would then be 100%. I agree with your doctor and you are outside of the time frame for testing and you are HIV negative from this experience. Be well and stay safe, Shannon | |||||||||
