80 day negative HIV test

Apr 26, 2012

I had a negative 80 day HIV test oraquick blood method. How accurate is this? I had a handjob from a massage parlor. I know I pop a blister on my gentital shaft 10 days prior. Should I be satisfied with my 80 day negative? My doctor said that even with the risk of a blister on m penis and a small cut on her hand I was still not at risk. He said no one has ever been HIV positive from a handjob.

Response from Ms. Southall

Hi The standards for testing are to be initially tested at 3 weeks and then again at 3 months, where 97% of the population will test negative or positive you can then again be tested at 6 months which would then be 100%. I agree with your doctor and you are outside of the time frame for testing and you are HIV negative from this experience.

Be well and stay safe, Shannon

This HIV test is safe?
Please answer. Somewhat scared.
