5th time asking and i m going to die why not replying me ?
Apr 25, 2012

hello doc m asking this 5th time please please tell me if doctor use shared syringe in my gum after 10-20 min of 1st used with HIV + person , what chance to transmit HIV and what chance to be safe please answer me i beg you

Response from Ms. Southall

Hi A doctor should not ever reuse a syringe on someone, if this indeed did happen, HIV dies once it leaves the body. So if HIV were to be present on the needle and then used 20 minutes later, the HIV will have died. But again reusing needles and syringes should not be done by anyone.

Be well and stay safe, Shannon
