| Injury while playing basketball (got elbowed in mouth) Apr 15, 2012 Hello doctor I had this incident while playing in which i got elbowed in my face and my lips bled for a couple minutes. I checked the other guy's habd but i couldn't see any major bleeding. i am worried that there might have been a smaller cut which i could have missed and that our bloods could have come in contact. Am i at risk? I am worried. Please answer at the earliest. Thank you. |

Response from Mr. Cordova
Hi there: I would not be concerned. Transmission in a situation like would be extremely rare. Also, the likelihood that the other person was HIV + is pretty low too. In health, Richard | |||||||||
