|True fact?- 6 months until detection of hiv /aids
Apr 15, 2012
Is it a true fact that it takes up to 6 months from unprotected sexual encounter to detect in testing if you have came across and been infected with hiv/aids? How long does it really take from sexual encounter for hiv/aids to enter your body system and be detected in a testing?
| Response from Mr. Cordova
No. That is incorrect. The answer is three months. It takes three months for the body to produce enough antibodies to be detected by an antibody test. At 90 days you can get a conclusive HIV test result.
