possible blood splash in eye

hie, im a nurse. was flushing a cannula for hiv pt and a splash back happened. i was not looking directly at the cannula and did not feel the splash.Then took her cbg, felt something go in my eye but not obvious. at that point had become paranoid. am i at risk. i didd not go to er.

It seems like there was maybe no exposure and if there was it was very minimal. You should still report this to your supervisor and occupational health for your own legal protection. They may ask you to get tested for HIV and other blood borne infections (HBV, HCV).
