|Constantly feeling/touching "Lymph nodes-please answer worried cancer or HIV "
Feb 28, 2012
Hi, I had a relatively low risk exposure 3 weeks ago and have been nervous since! Since then I have been constantly playing with my lymph nodes and lo and behold I can now clearly feel one on my left side of the neck. This morning I also woke up with a severe pain on my left clavicle and have an extremely painful lymph node there.
My exposure was extremley no risk (no penetration) but i have never had swollen lynph nodes in my life. Do you think there's a possibility of Me enlarging them by constantly touching? I also have a spot tht I itched nearby the day before these came out.

Thanks for the question,
It sounds like your "low risk exposure" was actually no risk since you had no penetration. Since this is a safe sex / prevention forum, I'm going to move forward with the assumption that your only possible exposure could have been through sex.
No risk = No HIV
And you're right, if you keep playing with your lymph nodes, they are going to feel funny after awhile..!
There's nothing wrong with getting a regular check-up to make sure your body is in tip-top condition btw.
Hope this helps!
