| Oral with ejaculation Feb 10, 2012 I gave an oral to a guy whom I do not know his hiv status. He ejaculated in my mouth, but I quickly spited it out and washed my mouth afterward. I did not have cut or sore in my mouth at the time. It's been about 5 weeks since the incident. Should I get tested? What's my hiv risk? |

Response from Ms. Southall
Hi Oral sex carries the lowest risk of transmission and how you handled the situation sounds like you decreased that risk even more. For peace of mind I would recommend being tested, the standards for testing for rapid HIV tests, whether oral swab or blood are very accurate at 28 days, and conclusive at 90 days. Is transmission possible, yes, probable no! Be well and stay safe, Shannon | |||||||||
