HIV from toothpaste
Jan 29, 2012
I can you get HIV from sharing toothpaste with someone who has HIV? My roomate has HIV and we share toothpaste but never toothbrushes. However, I was thinking wht if she used the paste and touched her brush and a couple minutes later I put the paste on my brush and both times the end of the paste tube touched the brushes. Coil I get HIV this way or am I safe to share toothpaste . I don't want to make him mad but also want to be totally safe!! Thanks so much!!!!!!!

Nope, even the tartar control, extra whitening, stuff will not transmit HIV. If you are worried, though, pony up for your own tube. DW
