HIV from laundry

Jan 22, 2012

Hi I live with an HIV positive man. He is in construction and constantly ha blood on his clothes. From what I know he often mastubates as well and then throws hemis clothes straight into the wash with my clothes. Is this okay? Is there any chance of transmission if his blood or semen get on my underwear?? ESP. If its fresh.. What is the proper way to wash clothes and kill the virus...

Thanks you SO much!!!

Response from Ms. Southall

Hi, Throwing things into the wash with water and detergent will take away not only the dirt from his day job but any other different virus's or bacteria. There is no way that HIV can be transmitted this way.

You have no need to worry!

Be well Shannon
