|Touching Gay's Hand
Jan 18, 2012
Hi Yesterday I went to some NGO which works for Gay, MSM and TS/Shemales. It also works for Fight Against AIDS. I met 5 to 6 members of NGO sitting in room. One of them said Hai to me and gave handshake to me. He(gay) offered the plastic chair to sit on which he was sitting. Later I came to know that they are HIV positive people. Is there any chance that I get infected as I gave shake hand and also sat on the chair where infected person was sitting? I am bit worried, please help me.

Have no fear. HIV is not so easy to catch and is certainly not caught via casual contact. It is important for you to know that HIV is spread during sex, the sharing of needles or other injecting equipment, from mothers to infants during delivery and breast-feeding and transfusion with contaminated blood or blood products. That is it. So, touching, hugging, kissing, sharing a bottle of Coca-Cola, none of these risks infection at all. Spread the word. DW
