can breast milk cause aids?
Jan 3, 2012
hello,i have one doubt regarding transmission of hiv through breast milk. during tit sex,if breast milk contact with sperm is there any possible of acquiring aids?
Response from Ms. Southall
If I understand your question correctly, the contact occurred outside of the body was with breast milk and semen, the answer is this is not a risk. With the absence of open sores, or cuts this is one of the safest ways to keep one another from exposure. HIV is spread through seminal or vaginal fluid and blood and mother breast milk. Babies can become positive if they are breast feeding and the mom has HIV. Having unprotected anal, vaginal or oral sex with someone who is positive or sharing needles where there is an exchange of blood are the ways that you can get HIV.
In kindness, Shannon
