 Hi, there: Thanks for writing in. A small drop of blood could certainly contain enough of the virus to cause an infection. However, the circumstances would have to be JUST RIGHT for an infection to occur, such as in the case of an HIV positive IV drug user who shares needles with a negative partner. In addition to the virus needing to be present, the virus also needs to make its way into the body. If for instance, you got some HIV contaminated blood on your unbroken skin, there would be no way for the virus to get into your body. I hope this helps. In Health, Richard | ||||||||
