Response from Dr. Frascino
Hi. Yes, I've been reading about this device. It's not quite ready for prime time yet. It's hoped that if its sensitivity for detecting HIV-positive folks is confirmed to be 99%, as initial reports I read have indicated, that the device might be particularly useful in developing countries where access to other types of HIV testing is sometimes very limited or at present nearly nonexistent. Stay tuned to The Body and we'll try to keep you posted on this and other testing devices currently in development. Be well. Dr. Bob | |||||||||
