Crushing Mosquito With HIV+ Blood?
Aug 1, 2011

Hello Dr. Frascino, This may sound really rediculous but my OCD (sorry I know you have to deal with so many ocd people) is beginning to take over again. I recently killed a mosquito but squashing it against my wall with a book. I then used Clorox cleaning wipes to clean the cover of my book that was stained with the blood and then I washed my hands with soap that wasnt anti-bacterial. But after letting my hands dry I accidentaly brushed my knee, which had previously been bleeding from my shaver, with my hand. I was just wondering if it was possible to contract the HIV virus from this incident? - Overly Worried Reader BTW you're really awesome :)

Response from Dr. Frascino

Hello.

Your OCD is OOC (out of control). The only way to contract HIV from a mosquito is to find one big enough to have unsafe sex with. Okay? See below.
