Blood Spill

Jun 4, 2011

Hello doctor

My roommate recently got HIV. Doctor talked to her about basic precaution to take when she gets a cut, includeing to clean the area with bleach mixed in water. Problem is that even weak scent of bleach gives me terrible painful headache. I saw online that rubbing alcohol can also clean HIV. dO you know if we could safely clean up blood spill with rubbing alcohol instead of bleach to make sure that virus all dies?

Thank you for helping us!!!!!! We want to make sure that me and other negative people know what do if there is blood so we can get rid of it. Is funny because sight of blood makes her really nervus, even when its her own, so will probably always be me cleaning it for her....

Thank you doctor Frascino!!!!!

Response from Dr. Frascino

Hello Luda,

Yes, you can use rubbing alcohol.

Dr. Bob

Do I need to take another step to determine my status?
