Missing ARV Dose May 26, 2011 Bob, Forgive me if you've answered this question. I know it is optimal to never miss a dose but I missed a dose last week when I fell asleep before taking the med. I have been told missing one dose a month is ok but I vowed to NEVER miss a dose since I am doing so well on Atripla. I was just so tired that I layed on the couch to rest my eyes and ten hours later I awoke.....Just need some peace of mind here....Thanks |

 Hi. You're correct on both counts: 1. It's optimal never to miss a dose of your antiretrovirals. 2. An occasional missed dose will not affect the efficacy of your treatment. Peace of mind is definitely warranted! Be well. Dr. Bob | ||||||||
