Blood Test
May 10, 2011

Dr, I have been donating blood and during the donations they took samples for AIDs, the blood shows accepted after tested, does that means that I don't have AIDs?

Response from Dr. Frascino

Hello,

Blood donation sites are not designed to diagnose HIV infection. The tests performed there are designed to protect the blood supply. If there was any possible chance you were HIV infected, donating blood would be an unconscionable act! See link below.
