| Me again...sorry to be a bother Apr 21, 2011 Dear Dr. Bob, I'll keep this briefer than the first time I wrote you. My son had to get a rabies intramuscular immune globulin shot. 1) What is his HIV-acquisition risk? 2) What are the odds of getting HIV from an intramuscular immune globulin shot? 3) Should he be tested? 4) What do you think of having a a quickie oral test done by someone that comes to your home in terms of accuracy? I'm feeling extremely guilty and distraught about this because I allowed him to get the shot without even researching it and I think the doctor made a hasty call. Thank you in advance. You are a truly wonderful person for the work you do. |

Response from Dr. Frascino
Hello, Briefer is better! 1. Nonexistent. 2. Nonexistent. 3. No. 4. Not at all necessary. Your fears are completely unwarranted. Dr. Bob | |||||||||
