Need Closure before I start therapy (Rapid test question) Mar 19, 2011 Dearest Dr. Bob, As always, I want to start my post by saying thank you for the work you do in this forum. Your advice always puts me at ease whenever I feel extremely worried and vulnerable. Anyway, last November 2009, I performed brief (not more than 8 seconds and he ws not fully erect) unprotected oral sex on a male sex worker. I'm not sure if there was pre-cum but I suddenly became worried after I realized that I had a cut in my mouth. To cut a long story short, I had myself tested for HIV (RAPID SD BIOLINE)during the 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, and 1 year marks. Thankfully, they all came out non-reactive. My question is, am I finally safe? I'm about to start therapy in a few days and your response will surely help me deal with my issues a lot better. Thanks a lot in advance, Dr. Bob. |
