| Negative ELISA but high percentage Jan 29, 2011 Hi dr. I just received my ELISA lab results today and they were NEGATIVE. However, the result was 0.96. Taking into account, that below 0.99 is NEGATIVE and above 1.0 is POSITIVE. Should I be worried about the results were close to the limit? Or should I stay calm since they were NEGATIVE anyway? Thanks for your time and for answering question to all of us. |

Response from Dr. Frascino
Hi, Should you worry or stay calm? I'd advise you stay calm! When it comes to this type of testing, negative is negative. You can't be just a little bit HIV infected anymore than you can be a just a little bit pregnant. Relax Max. You're negative. Dr. Bob | |||||||||
