Once for all question about Rapid hiv tests. Donated 40 Dollar!
Dec 13, 2010
My question is straight forward.
I had sex with a girl in Thailand 5 times wihout condom. I tested my self 5 times since that, 4th,6,9,12 and 32 weeks after last sex. All test were Rapid hiv test which tests AB and AG. I think its 4th generation tests, but not sure. I went to the hospital and they tested me with that test. All were negative.
Do I have to take an ordinary Antibody test or can I finally WOHO?
Response from Dr. Frascino
Unprotected sex is risky business and definitely placed you at risk for STDs, including HIV.
Fortunately your negative rapid HIV tests out to 32 weeks are definitive and conclusive. HIV is not your problem. No way. No how. No additional HIV tests are warranted.
Can you finally "WOHO"? Sure, most folks prefer to WOO-HOO, but if you want to WOHO, that's fine with me. Whatever floats your boat!
Be well. Happy Holidays.
