I had asked a question previously about the HIV PCR Test i took while on PeP AFTER 2WEEKS EXPOSURE. I also had the 4th generation atibody and antigen test at 28days after i had stopped the PeP for 5days, wld the 4th generation test be encouraging? I would also be having another 4th Generation Test on friday and that should be 2weeks and 4days after i stopped the PeP? would test from now be encouraging? Please advise

All negative or undetectable HIV tests are encouraging; however, I would suggest you stick to the guidelines recommended for post-PEP HIV testing. They recommend HIV-antibody testing at four to six weeks, three months and six months from the date of potential exposure. You can read much more about PEP and post-PEP HIV-diagnostic testing in the archives of this forum.
