Stabbed by a needle?
Sep 19, 2010

Dr Bob please help me with my worry.

I am worried about being stabbed by an HIV needle. I went to bed to sleep and the next morning I woke up and realised I forgot to lock the front door. I am worried that while I was asleep someone may have come into my house and stabbed me with an HIV needle? I have checked my body all over and can't see any blood stains other than about 4 or 5 tiny little red spots which I think is Petechiae but I always have atleast some of those for years.

Please doctor, I know if you give me a non existent that would be more than enough.

Thank you Doctor,

Matt

Response from Dr. Frascino

Hello Matt,

Your fears are totally irrational. Your HIV risk is completely nonexistent. I strongly urge you to seek counseling (psychotherapy) to help you confront and cope with your irrational fears.

Dr. Bob
