|Gums bleed and I performed anilingus on someone that is HIV+
Apr 18, 2010
I believe I asked a question close to this before, but I didn't make clear that my gums bleed often and are very sensitive. i performed aniligus on a partner that we found out later has HIV.. I only used my tongue and we we didn't do anything else. I know that there is no documented cases of persons contracting it from oral sex...But seeing as my gums do be bleed, I am worried. Should I be? Thank u for your time,

Whether you should be or should not be worried may not be the relevant point here. You clearly already are worried. The bottom line is always: if you feel you've placed yourself at risk for HIV, get a single HIV-antibody test at the three-month mark. Your HIV-acquisition risk remains very low.
