| Roommate precautions? Mar 27, 2010 I do not know my HIV status.. I consider myself to be low-risk, was tested about 5-6 years back and since have had unprotected sex with a few girlfriends. Just in case, however, I tend to go to great lengths to prevent my blood or semen from being introduced into common areas. Tonight I masturbated, and during cleanup I got some semen on one of my hands. Immediately after, I ran a shower, and touched the shower faucet knob with that hand. I did not see any semen get onto the faucet knob, merely touched it with that hand, but my question is this: should I scrub the faucet knob with bleach before my roommate takes another shower? Furthermore, how much time/effort should I put into cleanup when I expose blood/semen? |

Response from Dr. Frascino
Hello, Dude, wouldn't it be easier just to get HIV tested and confirm your negative HIV status rather than have to morph into Mr. Clean every time you burp the nephew? Dr. Bob | |||||||||
