I do not know my HIV status.. I consider myself to be low-risk, was tested about 5-6 years back and since have had unprotected sex with a few girlfriends. Just in case, however, I tend to go to great lengths to prevent my blood or semen from being introduced into common areas. Tonight I masturbated, and during cleanup I got some semen on one of my hands. Immediately after, I ran a shower, and touched the shower faucet knob with that hand. I did not see any semen get onto the faucet knob, merely touched it with that hand, but my question is this: should I scrub the faucet knob with bleach before my roommate takes another shower? Furthermore, how much time/effort should I put into cleanup when I expose blood/semen?

Dude, wouldn't it be easier just to get HIV tested and confirm your negative HIV status rather than have to morph into Mr. Clean every time you burp the nephew?
