Transmission from menstrual period in a pool! Feb 14, 2010 I previously asked this question. Tested at 3, 6 and 9 months (negative) but have had persisten symptoms (sore throat); was in a pool with my children, did not know had my period; they started getting symptoms (sore throat)this has continued for all of us. Would they be negative as well? Please, let me know. I'll donate. |

 Hello, HIV cannot be transmitted via swimming pools, whether an HIVer had her period while doing laps or was profusely bleeding from a slashed artery while swimming. No risk. None. OK?
