Response from Dr. Frascino

Hello,

Although it is a bit difficult to sort out exactly what is going on with some of your test results, I would predict you will eventually be confirmed HIV negative based on the totality of your results to date. I would suggest you get a qualitative HIV DNA PCR. This assay tests for a piece of the virus's genetic material and is not dependent on anti-HIV antibodies. It can be helpful in sorting out unclear HIV-antibody test results.

Good luck. Write back with your follow-up test results.

Dr. Bob
