Response from Dr. Frascino
Hi, Barring unusual extenuating circumstances, I would consider a negative three-month HIV-antibody test to be "WOO-HOO-able." I tend to doubt you have Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS). Symptoms of GBS usually begin with weakness, tingling or loss of sensation in the feet, which ascends to the legs, and then to the upper body and arms. This is not consistent with the symptoms you are describing. See your general medical doctor for an evaluation if you're concerned about unusual or persistent neurological symptoms. Thanks for your donation to The Robert James Frascino AIDS Foundation (www.concertedeffort.org). It's warmly appreciated. Good luck. Dr. Bob | |||||||||
