I dont wanna talk about cure I know it will take years, but my question is: Are we close to any kind of treatment, be it a gene therapy, or therapeutic vaccine, or hemopurifier, or anything that will get us undetectable without meds ? Any substitute for meds in the near future ?

I remain perhaps the most optimistic person in the galaxy, but at this point we are not close to a therapeutic intervention that will suppress viral replication other than the use of combination antiretroviral drugs. Neither gene therapy nor a therapeutic vaccine is anywhere near ready for prime time. Hemopurifiers are not effective or recommended therapy for HIV. Our best bet at present is the wise use of potent antiretroviral drug therapies to suppress HIV replication.
