Response from Dr. Frascino
Hi, Condom-protected sex is indeed protected, assuming the latex or polyurethane condom remained intact and did not break. Kissing, even playing tonsil hockey with a sore tongue, is not considered an HIV-transmission/acquisition risk. As always, if, despite my reassurance, you feel you have placed yourself at risk for HIV, get a single HIV-antibody test at the three-month mark. Should you choose to do so, I'm confident the result would be negative. Be well. Stay well. Dr. Bob | |||||||||
