white spot on tounge
Apr 26, 2001

I have a white spot on the underside of the tip of my tounge, is this a symptom of ARS ?

Response from Mr. Kull

You cannot determine if you are HIV infected or if you are experiencing acute retroviral syndrome (ARS) based on one symptom alone. Without a thorough risk history and an HIV antibody test, attempting to diagnose your HIV status based on commonly experienced signs and symptoms is a futile task.

Maybe you have a canker sore? See my response to "Ulcer on the Uvula (Canker Sores)" (http://www.thebody.com/Forums/AIDS/SafeSex/Archive/Symptoms/Q9668.qna) for more information on that condition.
