 Hello, I'm not sure why you think I hold a grudge against D.O.'s!?! That said, I do sincerely believe there is a distinct difference between M.D.'s (medical doctors) and D.O.'s (doctors of osteopathy). If there wasn't, then we'd all be either M.D.'s or D.O.'s, right? I should also point out that osteopathy outside the United States is primarily a form of "complimentary medicine" relying almost exclusively on osteopathic manipulative medicine techniques and other "alternative medicine" modalities. Here in the U.S. D.O.'s rely more heavily on conventional medicine practices. The real distinction is that D.O.'s have not attended medical school and are not M.D.'s! The reverse is also true: M.D.'s have not attended osteopathic schools and are not D.O's! I really don't hold a grudge. I'm just pointing out the facts. OK? Dr. Bob | ||||||||
