| PEP Warranted? Exposure 12 hours Ago Jul 31, 2009 Went to a prostitute--turned out to be a TS--went through with it anyway. Received anal sex with both penis and dildo, both with a condom, some unknown lubricant used. Also did extensive rimming and briefly perfomed oral sex on TS's penis (no ejaculation) before asking TS to put condom on. TS claimed to be disease free. Enough exposure to justify PEP--if so, where does someone go to receive PEP on a timely basis. Thanks for all your good help--another donation on the way. |

Response from Dr. Frascino
Hi, PEP would not be warranted based on the activities described during your walk on the wild side to the tranny shack/love shack. Post-exposure prophylaxis is recommended for significant HIV exposures. If you are concerned about HIV, I would recommend an HIV-antibody test at the three-month mark. If PEP were warranted, you should be able to access it through any emergency room, urgent care clinic, STD clinic, HIV specialist's office and in some general medical offices as well. You can read much more about PEP in the archives of this forum. Have a look! Dr. Bob | |||||||||
