| Tested Positive - Elisa HIV 1 & HIV 2 Jun 12, 2009 Dr.Doc, Yesterday i went picked up my HIV test results & they were positive- the Lab did Elisa HIV 1 & HIV 2 become positive. I still believe this is false results i got. is there a way i can veryify this results with another Lab? & what should be done this time Am certain, that I am Negative.. |

Hello, It is indeed possible your initial test was a "false positive." You can read about false-positive HIV tests in the archives, as I've discussed them on numerous occasions over the years. Your next step is to have your ELISA test repeated with a confirmatory Western Blot run only if the ELISA is again repeatedly reactive (positive).
