| Is Lymphoma contagious??? Jun 2, 2009 I realize you are not a vet. But, I have to ask, I feel foolish asking this.......but I have to. We have a 7 year old lab and he has Lymphoma. We are treating him with hopes of giving him and us another year together, I love him or would not be spending all this money for such a short period of time...but I do have a fear....could a human catch Lymphoma from a dog..... I mean the body fluid thing..... the licking.... he gives kisses alot and the drueling.....he does that too. Also, with the meds he has very, very loose stool which I clean up (of course washing my hands)..... I guess I am just being parinoid, but I have heard some think cancer can be cause by a virus....is not a virus contagious? This is not a joke of a question....I am really, really, serious about this. Thank you Vicki |

Response from Dr. Frascino
Hi Vicki, Fear not! Canine lymphoma is not contagious. Give "Marley" a hug from me, OK? Dr. Bob | |||||||||
