disability/new doctor

Feb 10, 2009

Im on disability right now,do they re-evaluate people with advance HIV?My previous DR.aproved all my disability paper's do to my advance contition,is been almost 2 years and my health has improved a lot, could my disability benefits be terminated?I also have a new DR. now.

Response from Dr. Frascino

Yes! Disability insurance companies can cut off your benefits at any time that they feel you no longer meet the specific criteria for disability benefits as detailed in your insurance policy. If you have a new HIV specialist, it's extremely important that you discuss this concern with him. If push comes to shove and your benefits are stopped, get a lawyer to help you fight the termination.

Good luck.

Very confused about contact with infected body fluids
