Hey Dr.I wish u happy new year.I appreciate u for ur valuable time to answer my question.I was insertive with an Hiv + gay. I used ultra thin condom. However I would think there was no breakage.Do u think I am infected.I got mad with him as he didn't reveal his status before... Finally, I am ready to send my donations.UK

If you used a latex (or polyurethane) condom properly and it did not break, your HIV-acquisition risk would be essentially nonexistent. HIV cannot permeate intact latex, even ultra thin latex.
Don't get mad about HIV disclosure issues. Although I agree he should have disclosed his status before you hit the sheets, we must all assume our sex partners could be HIV positive and take all the necessary precautions to prevent HIV transmission. Here in the U.S., 25% of the approximately 1,000,000 HIV-positive folks have absolutely no idea they are infected with the virus!
