Response from Dr. Frascino
Hello, After eight long years of Dubya's disastrous failed presidency ("The Reign of Error!"), the future President Obama is going to have his hands full of catastrophic problems. Bush is saddling him with two wars, a severely damaged global image, a ruined economy, an impending environmental crisis and a government systematically stripped of its ability to help and protect its citizens on every front from searching for affordable health care to fleeing a hurricane's floodwaters to struggling to hold onto their jobs, homes, savings and pensions plans. Along with Obama's demonstrated cool temperament, sound judgment and impressive intellect, he has given all of us a sense of hope. Will an Obama presidency improve the "hope for a cure" for HIV/AIDS? I believe an Obama presidency will bring hope and change to many, many aspects of American life. Our potential of making scientific progress on everything from stem-cell research to the environment to many medical challenges, including HIV/AIDS, will fare much better under Obama than it did under Dubya or would under McCain (McBush). Palin, of course, would be a disaster on all levels, except perhaps wardrobe and makeup. Dr. Bob | |||||||||
