I tested positive for the hiv- virus can I recieve social security / financial help, since I'm living with this disease. such as grants to do research on my own as well as housing assistance???

I'm not sure I understand your question. Certainly being HIV positive doesn't disqualify you for any entitlement programs or services. It also doesn't automatically make you eligible either. Your HIV specialist should be able to answer your specific questions or refer you to a local benefits counselor to help you address your specific concerns.
