| electrochemiluminescence immunoassay+HIV Sep 28, 2008 Hello, I had protected sex in Spet 2006. While opting for an insurance, I did ELISA which came negative. It was almost after six months of sex. Recently in April, 2008 I did electrochemiluminescence immunoassay which came as non-reactive. I am not sure am I really safe... I am suffering from anxiety. even a sneeze and small itching on skin makes me think of all unwanted situations... Could you please explain me what does these results show? How good they are to be believed. |

Response from Dr. Frascino
Hi, Your two negative HIV-antibody tests out to almost two years from your "protected sex" are definitive and conclusive. HIV is not your problem. No way. No how. OK? Besides, if your sexual activity was indeed protected, your HIV risk would be essentially nonexistent, assuming the latex condom was used properly and did not break. Dr. Bob | |||||||||
