| obsesed with late seroconversion Aug 18, 2008 Hi Doctor I have an obssesive doubt with seroconvertion. I had unprotected sex with a girlfriend without konwing her HIV status. 12 weeks after took ELISA was negative. 14 weeks after Took ELISA negative. I have always had an excellent inmune system I eeven took some pills called "transfer Factor" to increase the effectivity of inmune system. all of these leads me to the question ¿is there a possibility that due to an strong inmune system I could be a late seroconvertor? thank you very much for your time and your answer |

Response from Dr. Frascino
Hello, You have "obssesive" doubt with "seroconvertion," because you are worried your "excellent 'inmume' system" would cause you to be a late seroconvertor???? Wow, that's a switch. Usually folks are writing in worried that their immune systems are somehow not up to snuff and therefore might delay the production of specific anti-HIV antibodies causing late seroconversion, not the other way around! Relax Max! Your negative ELISA tests out to 14 weeks are definitive and conclusive. HIV is not your problem. Stop worrying and start WOO-HOOing. And remember never to put yourself at such risk again! No glove. No love. No exceptions! Play safe to stay well. Dr. Bob | |||||||||
