Passing HIV on to Grandchildren
Jul 9, 2008
I was recently diagnossed with HIV it is undetectable but my ? is can I give it to my grandchildren by kissing and touching them?
Response from Dr. Frascino
HIV is not transmitted by casual contact, such as touching or kissing your grandkids. I strongly suggest you peruse the wealth of information on this site, in its archives and on the related links. You obviously have much to learn about your newly diagnosed condition. Start with the chapter entitled "Just Diagnosed" that can be easily accessed on The Body's homepage under the heading Quick Links.
