|Do I Need To Up My Therapist Visits?
Jun 9, 2008
Hi Dr. Bob,
Can you tell me if I am worrying about nothing here.
I met a guy. Went over his house. He was giving me a back massage. He did have sorta longish nails. While he was running his fingers up and down my back I thought I noticed a pinch. Later I thought, what if he pricked me with a syringe of HIV-tainted blood?!
The only time he could have filled it would have been just before he saw me. And from that time to when he was massaging my back was maybe...3 minutes? Maybe 3 and a half?
Would HIV live outside the body for that long?
Am I being paranoid?

The answer to your two key questions ("Do I need to up my therapist visits?" and "Am I being paranoid?") are exactly the same.
The short answer is "yes." The more definitive answer is "hell yes!"
