| Rheumatoid Arthritis and Hiv Testing Apr 23, 2008 Hi Dr. Bob, I have first searched the archives and honestly did not find an answer to this question. I have rheumatoid arthritis. Because this is considered an autoimmune disease, will it interfere with my Hiv antibody test results? Will it give me a false negative or false positive? Can I consider my one antibody test well after the three month mark to be accurate and go with it? Thanks Dr. Bob, J.S. |

Response from Dr. Frascino
Hi J.S., Rheumatoid arthritis would not affect the validity of HIV-antibody tests. Stop worrying and start WOO-HOOing. Dr. Bob | |||||||||
