Then what!? Dr Bob. I reported to you that I had unprotected oral and protected vaginal with a man in July. He tested neg by rapid in Aug. I fell horribly ill with night sweats, swollen throat, lymph nodes, rashes, fatigue. Mono, lyme, strep, lupus, crp, sed all negative. I currently have swollen lymphnodes generalized as diagnosed by 3 physicians and have had an ICMA through labcorp test out to 8 months. EVERYTHING occured 2 weeks after sex with this guy. I've had a DNA PCR and 14 HIV tests out to 8 months, I've seen a rheumatologist, Infectious Disease, Oncologist and Primary Care doctors. No one has any idea, but I was told that the 6 month rule applies UNLESS you continue to experience symptoms correlated with HIV infection. Please clarify. I'm in pain, I'm sick, and my kids miss me.

Unfortunately I cannot diagnose the cause of your symptoms over the Internet. However with 14 negative HIV tests, including a DNA PCR, one thing is absolutely certain: The cause of your symptoms is not HIV! If multiple physicians (rheumatologist, infectious disease, oncologist and primary care) have no idea what's causing your problem, I would suggest you consider a psychosomatic cause. Psychosomatic disease can produce very real symptoms. Check out the archives for some very impressive testimonials about the devastating effects of psychosomatic illness and the astounding array of "symptoms" that can be associated with it. This certainly seems like the next logical step in your evaluation and road back to good health.
